How to get started with automated testing via Alva Labs

Now you can easily send out automated tests to your candidates in Talent Software through our integration with Alva Labs. Through both personality tests and logical tests, Alva Labs offers an objective and automatic candidate management. The tests are based on the well-established 5-factor method in combination with machine learning and AI, which helps to find the candidates who best match your company. A test takes about 20-25 minutes for the candidate to perform and works both on mobile or desktop. By using Alva Labs directly in Talent Software, you can streamline your screening process and improve your candidate management.

How to connect Alva Labs with Talent Software

Contact Alva Labs

  1. Contact Alva Labs to get a quote

  2. Get an API key from Alva Labs (this is done by your administrator in Alva Labs)

Create an API key in Alva Labs

  1. Log in to your account in Alva Labs

  2. Go to Settings > Integrations

  3. Select “Add integration” and then “New API key”

  4. Fill in the name (A recommended name is Talent Software)

  5. Save the key

  6. Then copy the key you get

Create a Signature Token in Alva Labs

  1. When you are in Settings-Integration, press the tab Webhooks

  2. Then “Create new”

  3. As URL type in: https://api.talentsoftware.weselect.com/api/webhook/alvalabs

  4. Save the file

  5. Now you should select “Create signature token”

  6. When it's done, copy the token that was just created

To activate the Alva Labs integration in Talent Software:

  1. Log in to Talent Software

  2. Go to Settings > Integrations

  3. Click on + Add integration

  4. Select Integration Partner* = Alva Labs

  5. Fill in the API key that you just received from Alva Labs

  6. Fill in the Signature token that you recently created in Alva Labs

  7. Save the integration

  8. Done 🥳

How to use Alva Labs in Talent Software

How to add Alva Labs tests to your recruitment process

  1. Go to Positions

  2. Select + new position or edit existing position (Read here how to create a new service)

  3. Go to Step 2 | Process steps

  4. Add + new process step

  5. Fill in the name and any instructions (A recommended name is Alva Labs Tests)

  6. Click on the Test/Event tab,

  7. Select Alva Labs in the list

  8. Select the type of Competence Profile

  9. Save the profile

  10. Go to step 4

  11. Publish the position

  12. Done 🥳

How to send out Alva Labs tests to candidates

  1. Move the candidate to the process step where Alva Labs tests are enabled.

  2. Go to the candidate, and you will now see “Candidate sent to Alva Labs” in the timeline

  3. You can now also see the candidate in Alva Labs and the position has the same name in Alva Labs as in Talent Software
